Food & Beverage Facilities

The Coca-Cola dome’s food court areas cater for all types. They consist of a variety of food and beverage outlets that are managed and supplied under the auspices of the Coca-Cola dome’s food & beverage concessionaires.

Type of food outlets available during shows and exhibitions consist of the following:

• Wiesenhof Coffee Bar - providing coffees, teas, soft drinks, sandwiches, muffins, cakes, etc.
• Food courts - providing chicken burgers, meat burgers, hot dogs, boerewors rolls, sandwiches, selection of softdrinks, mineral water, malt, wine, sweets, biltong, mini doughnuts.
• The selection above is dependent on the type of show and discussed with the client during the catering meeting.
• the Coca-Cola dome Banqueting, a division of Delmont Caldow Caterers, provide all food and beverage services for the Banqueting Halls situated below the Main Arena, as well as all account catering requirements in the Main Arena.
  Account refers to non-cash transactions where requirements are invoiced to one account. Events include gala dinners, cocktails, seminar lunches, refreshment breaks and corporate hospitality during concerts.

Toilet Facilities

The venue has ablution facilities, which caters for the requirements of disabled visitors.

The Toilet facilities are located at the following areas:

• Entrance 1
• Entrance 3
• Tower A
• Tower B

Physically Disabled Facilities

The venue is committed to providing a hassle-free experience to all of its visitors. The entrances, as well as the ablution facilities located on the premises, are equipped for the physically disabled. Escalators and a lift help with easy access between the different levels in the venue.

Telephone and Data Lines

The venue has a number of coin/ card operated telephones located at Entrance 3. All other telephones and data lines that are required are sourced through Telkom. Booking of these lines is required one month prior to the event so as to ensure timely installation by Telkom.

Air-conditioning

The climate control is managed by our automated computer system, which provides the clients and visitors with a comfortable environment regardless of the weather conditions outside the venue.

• Tower units control the Main Arena
• Teco units control the Dressing Rooms, Organiser's Officer and Star Suites
• Peripheral units control the Mezzanine Level, office space and offer additional supply to the Main Arena
• All Hospitality suites have individual air-conditioning systems

Loading Areas

Three Loading Areas service the Main Arena:

• Tower A loading area situated on the west end of the Coca-Cola dome has a maximum height of 2.15 metres and width of 3.8 metres
• Tower C loading area situated on the east end of the Coca-Cola dome has a maximum height of 3 metres and width of 3.6 metres.
• The Main loading bay situated next to Tower C has a maximum height of 3.9 metres and maximum width of 6 metres.

Access between Levels

• A lift and two sets of escalators facilitate access between the Main Arena and the Mezzanine Level.
• An additional set of escalators located at Entrance 4 allows for access between the Main Arena and Banqueting Lobby.
• A lift provides access between the Banqueting lobby, Entrance 4 and Entrance 7.

Restaurants and Shopping

Northgate Shopping Centre is based within walking distance from the Coca-Cola Dome and boasts over 180 tenants, mostly free parking, an ice rink, a paintball arena and is in close proximity to the CoCa Cola Dome. The centre is also adjacent to a new and upcoming development – the new extension being built will focus on customer´s life style and standard of living. It will be linked by a pedestrian bridge to the parking area at Entrance 7.

Northgate also offers a 24hour security surveillance system to keep all our shoppers as safe as possible, easy access to free parking plus great promotions and competitions to keep all customers coming back for more.
