The TPSA (Technical Production Services Association) is an association of members who operate within the Live Entertainment / Events Industry. The objectives of the TPSA are:

  • To attract members who service the live entertainment industry –specifically technically related,
  • To represent these members in their interests within the production services industry,
  • To introduce and maintain international ethical and safety standards,
  • To uphold and ensure delivery of service,
  • To actively promote the advancement of knowledge and skills of its members and the production services profession.

The Southern African Communications Industries Associaiton (SACIA) is a not-for-profit trade association dedicated to promoting the adoption of professional standards in the broadcast and professional AV industries across Southern Africa. Members commit to truth, honesty and the pursuit of excellence in all aspects of the audiovisual profession. Working in partnership with InfoComm International and the International Association of Broadcast Manufacturers (IABM), SACIA provides a range of training and skills development programmes that are specifically relevant to the broadcast and proAV industries.

The Digital Video Association of South Africa was formed in May 2000 by a group of concerned individuals experiencing similar problems in the field of non-linear (NLE) editing on PC based systems. Recently, Apple users have also started to join the association. DVA members make use of a wide range of camera and Digital Video Association editing equipment. The DVA executive interacts with all relevant service providers on behalf of members.

The aim of the DVA is to act as a support group to the members and to stay on top of local and world trends in the digital field. The DVA has developed a unique accreditation process for all it's members. The DVA head office is currently based in Durbanville, Cape Town. The DVA of SA is a national organisation and is supported by various industry players. Membership is open to all involved in the industry, from home video hobbyist to professional production houses
