‘Idols SA’ is back with a new judge

Idols SA is back for another season and will be showing in HD on M-Net (DStv channel 101) and Mzansi Magic (DStv channel 161) on 12 July 2015 at 17h00. This season all episodes will be two hours long with an additional judge joining the panel. The new judge is actor Somizi Mhlongo.

In the first episode the show will take a look at how Somizi Mhlongo made his first appearance at the State Theatre in Pretoria, which is where the countrywide auditions for Season 11 took place. All auditions will be shown on the Idols SA extra (DStv channel 199) on DStv.

The next round of auditions will take place at the GrandWest Casino and World of Entertainment in Cape Town, with the following two episodes showcasing more good (and bad) singing at The Playhouse Theatre in Durban and Carnival City in Johannesburg. The Top 16 will sing for the voting public.
