Soweto TV welcomes Tim Modise
Journalist and broadcaster, Tim Modise, has partnered with Soweto TV to produce and host his own weekly current affairs show on DStv channel 251 and Free To Air in Gauteng.
The voice of the Power FM breakfast show will steer the national dialogue on his new show, Tonight with Tim Modise, airing every Thursday from 26 November 2015 at 07h30.
The one hour talk show will explore relevant and current topics that South Africans are talking about.
“I feel good and pretty excited about the show. It’s going to be good for the audience. It’s an opportunity for people to understand the events that shape our lives. It’s an opportunity to inspire, to create as well as to connect individuals and communities. The show will also serve to provide educational information, entertain and offer key insights on trends that are emerging in the world today,” Modise said.
Modise said the weekly window on South African life would not be restricted to current affairs as such, but be more of a news-based magazine show. “So it won’t just be news or topics of the day but will also focus on the economy, personal wellbeing, influential individuals, and it promises to end on a somewhat personal and light note,” said Modise.
Modise’s return to television forms part of recent changes at Soweto TV, which recently underwent a brand refresh.
