BE FIRST TO OPERATE THE TOPSHOT.AFRICA 3D FLYING CAMERA SYSTEM AT MEDIATECH 2019

Much like global equivalent Spidercam, TopShot.Africa is a locally developed 3D flying camera system which provides dynamic, shake free, premium quality footage that brings viewers closer to the action. Typically used for sport, the technology is becoming increasingly popular for indoor events, concerts, film and TV production too. The system, which has no local competitors, enables film and TV cameras to move vertically and horizontally in a co-ordinated and synchronised manner along four motorised winches – typically positioned at the four corners of a venue.  A first for Mediatech, this birds-eye view technology will be showcased at the expo and visitors will be invited to operate the state of the art system – guiding it around a fully-rigged “stadium” set-up.  Footage from the pan, tilt and camera zooms will be broadcast onto big screens simulating an exciting infield experience with TopShot. Get to grips with the gimbal and play with the system at stand i12, where Graham Terrell and Alard Hufner, will instruct you in the ways of their exciting breakthrough tech.
