RØDE Backs the Growing Content Creation Sector at Mediatech Africa 2026

Mediatech Africa has long been known for high-end film, studio, broadcast and live production technology. But the way content is produced and consumed has changed significantly since the show last ran in 2019. Short-form video, podcasts, live streaming, online learning and in-house brand content are now part of everyday business and communication.

Simon Robinson, Expo Director of Mediatech Africa, explains:

“The content landscape has shifted. While film and broadcast remain core to the show, we’re seeing strong growth in creators, educators and corporate teams producing their own professional content. The Content Creation sector reflects that change and brings a new and expanding audience to Mediatech.”

The sector focuses on professional yet agile production tools for marketers, podcasters, educators, corporate teams, YouTubers and digital creators. It highlights compact cameras, lighting kits, mobile production gear, streaming tools and creator-focused audio solutions built for efficient workflows without full studio infrastructure.

RØDE is a global leader in creator technology, designing audio and video solutions for modern content production. Designed and engineered in Australia, RØDE products are trusted worldwide for their performance, reliability and practical design.

Jason Sutherland, Marketing Manager at RØDE SA, says:

“RØDE is proud to sponsor the Content Creation sector at Mediatech Africa 2026. The creator economy in South Africa continues to grow and professionalise. We believe it is important to support platforms that bring together technology and talent while developing industry collaboration.

As a brand focused on delivering accessible professional audio and video solutions, this sector aligns naturally with our commitment to empowering local creators at every level. We look forward to showcasing the breadth of the RØDE ecosystem, from wireless microphone systems to integrated video production solutions, and engaging directly with the community.”

The Content Creation sector is expected to attract marketers, digital agencies, educators, podcasters, influencers and in-house production teams looking to produce professional content efficiently and at scale. Taylorleds Announced as a Sponsor of the Commercial Screens & Display Technology Sector at Mediatech Africa

Mediatech Africa is pleased to announce Taylorleds as an official sponsor of the Commercial Screens & Display Technology Sector at the 2026 expo, taking place from 30 June to 2 July at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit in Johannesburg.

Taylorleds, distributed in Sub Saharan Africa by Peripheral Vision, supplies a wide range of LED display solutions across corporate boardrooms,  auditoriums, lecture theatres, indoor retail displays, immersive rooms, mission critical control rooms, outdoor digital signage solutions and public space environments. Their portfolio includes fine pitch indoor displays, outdoor commercial LED solutions, high-resolution COB technology, and customised configurations designed for long-term, fixed installations.

The Commercial Screens & Display Technology Sector at Mediatech Africa focuses on fixed installation display solutions used in boardrooms, retail environments, corporate headquarters, control rooms, hospitality spaces, education campuses and digital signage networks. The sector brings together LED manufacturers, digital signage providers, commercial display brands and content management platforms serving integrators, consultants, architects, IT managers and end users responsible for permanent visual infrastructure.

Wynand Langenhoven, CEO of Peripheral Vision, says the sponsorship reflects the growing demand for high-performance display technology in commercial environments:

“Mediatech Africa has always been an important platform for the Pro AV industry on the African continent.

As the South African distributor of Taylorleds, we’re proud to support the Commercial Screens & Display Technology Sector as an official sponsor. Taylorleds took its name from its original focus on customised, ‘tailored’ solutions. This has since evolved into a full range of LED display products, now offering a broad, quality, well-priced range, including more recent transparent LED display technology.

For us, the sponsorship is about backing the industry and creating a platform where integrators, consultants and end users can see the technology up close, ask the right questions and make informed decisions.”

Visitors to Mediatech Africa 2026 will be able to engage with the Peripheral Vision team at the Taylorleds stand in Hall 2 and explore how Taylorleds’ LED solutions are being deployed in permanent installations across multiple sectors.
